Begin with the duty
Tell the manufacturer what the tube will carry, the operating and cleaning conditions, and whether the material has already been selected by the project engineer. A grade comparison without this context is incomplete.
Separate selection from supply
The buyer or design authority selects the material for service. JBI reviews whether the requested product, dimensions, finish and documentation can be manufactured against the ordered specification.
Write the grade completely
State 304, 304L, 316 or 316L exactly as required. Add the product standard, dimensional tolerance, heat-treatment condition, surface finish and certification requirement in the same enquiry.
